Orange and Banana Green Smoothie with Curly Parsley

I rarely use curly parsley for cooking, I typically prefer flat-leaf. But when I went to the store today I thought why not try it in a green smoothie? The smoothie turned out quite refreshing and delicious. Parsley has a distinct flavor and is great when combined with sweet citrus fruits. You’ll definitely want to try this one out!

Banana Apple Green Smoothie with Parsley

I love using parsley in my green smoothies. It’s so refreshing, healthy, and easy to use. Just wash the bunch and roughly chop it, stems and all. If you don’t want to use a whole bunch (especially when you’re new to green smoothies) use half and store the rest in a cup of water in the fridge.

Green Smoothie Recipe with Parsley and Mango

This is my first – of hopefully many more – green smoothie recipes. It’s great for beginners as it only involves a few ingredients…..mangoes, parsley, water and ice. Make sure your mangoes are very sweet and ripe, otherwise the taste will be bitter and sour. If your mangoes aren’t ripe enough, place them in a brown paper bag the night before you use them. For extra sweetness, add one or two dates into the mix.
