Celery smoothies are among my husband’s favorite green smoothies. So to celebrate Valentine’s Day, I decided to make him a “green smoothie” that goes well with this holiday! One of my earliest green smoothie posts was a blueberry celery smoothie that is similar and equally delicious. Share this smoothie with your special someone.
To get a nice Valentine’s Day color for this smoothie, I used mainly red-colored ingredients: A nice mix of strawberries, raspberries (both frozen) and a red delicious apple. Add some banana chunks to make the smoothie extra creamy. If you’re new to green smoothies, I would highly recommend a celery based smoothie. You can’t go wrong with those smoothies because the celery flavor typically comes out more subtle and isn’t as noticeable as leafy greens such as kale or chard.

Red Berry Celery Smoothie Recipe

Interesting, so you’re combining kale, celery, and avocados? Might give that a try next time.
I’m so making this tomorrow! Yum Yum.
Awesome, let me know how it turns out
Your celery smoothie looks amazing. I’ll be making this as soon as I get more celery – delicious!
Thank you, Chizelle! It’s quite refreshing and yummy…one of our favorites
Can you use fresh berries?
Yes, definitely! Mix in some ice if you want to drink it cold.
Thank you!
This was a great smoothie. It’s the first green smoothie I have ever tried, so I started with 2 stalks of celery. I loved it, and my 2 year old son loved it. We made delicious popsicles with it because it all wouldn’t fit in our cups. Last night he refused to eat supper, so I gave him a popsicle. I didn’t have to worry that I was feeding him junk food, and he filled his tummy without fighting me. Thank you for this recipe, and I can’t wait to try some more!
Thanks so much for commenting Leslie! It’s great to hear your first green smoothie turned out well, and I’m even more happy your son liked it, too. What a great idea to make popsicles out of it, I may try that and post it on the blog
This is the first green smoothie I tried and I loved it! Everyone’s right. You can’t taste the celery. My husband and I are using it as a dessert after dinner and it’s filling us up without having the sugary guilt before bed. We also used fresh produce instead of frozen and tastes amazing! Thanks for the recipe!
I love having this smoothie in the morning but never thought of using it as a dessert after dinner. What a great idea! To mix it up you can use different kinds of berries as well. Thanks so much for your nice comment, Chrissie. Hope to see you again
I love this recipe. I just tried it this morning. And I only used half recipe, Celery, frozen organic raspberry, and organic blueberry. Imagine what they taste like if I use all ingredients recommended. Thank you!!!
Thanks, Yuli, this is a favorite of ours
Try it with some apples and bananas next time!
Do you peel the apple first?
Hi Leah – I don’t peel it, our blender is pretty powerful…but go ahead if you don’t like apple peels. Enjoy the smoothie!
