If you like honey roasted nuts, you should try my version of this snack. I combined several varieties of nuts and spiced it up with some homemade garam masala, a spice mix common in India and other Asian countries. Garam masala is a spice blend containing ground peppercorns, cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon, among other spices. You can find it in Indian grocery stores or large supermarkets in the spice aisle. Or you can make your own which you can keep for several weeks and use in many other dishes.
Almost any kind of nut would work well here, so feel free to experiment. The spiced nuts can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. Munch on these at home or bring to a party as a healthy and exotic snack that will wow any crowd.

Honey Roasted Spiced Nuts Recipe
Preheat oven to 300°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Combine all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl, making sure the nuts are well-coated.
Spread nuts in a single layer onto baking sheet and transfer to oven. Bake until golden and toasted, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely. Break nuts in pieces before serving.

Spiced nuts sounds great and delicious. Thanks for sharing.
Love the garam masala touch!
Thanks, the garam masala really made this a special snack.
Hey barb! I just made a batch of these and they are amazing! Not too sweet, with just the right amount of spice. If I was going to add some sea salt to make them sweet/salty…how much do you think I should add, and do you think I should mix the salt in with the spice blend, or sprinkle it on when they come out of the oven?
Awesome Becky! Glad they came out nicely
Ooh, I like the addition of sea salt. I would maybe sprinkle it at the end when they come right out of the oven. And only a small pinch for just a hint of saltiness sounds delicious to me.
These sound amazing! Just pinned
Thanks, Marla!
Not only were these delicious, but my house smelled so good for the rest of the day! Thanks.
Wonderful, so happy you enjoyed them! Thank you for commenting, Barbara.
